My favorite book to read with students is the BFG by Roal Dahl. This is a very silly book that will leave you laughing! The Big Friendly Giant and Sophie have many awesome adventures. Be sure to read this book as soon as possible.

Title: To Kill a Mockingbird
Author: Harper Lee

This book tells the tragic, but enlightening, story of a man who is wrongly accused of doing something awful. There are also several other funny stories that happen as they grow up. It's my favorite book because you can learn so many things from the characters (Scout, Jem, Dill, Atticus, and Jim) and their experiences.

My book is Jelly Belly and the author is Robert Kimmel Smith. Jelly Belly is about a boy named Ned and his parents think he is over weight. So they send him to Camp Lean Too to loss weight. His grandmother thinks he can out do it just like his mom when she was his age. They wewighted him right before he left. He weighted 116 pounds. They weighted him right after breakfast and fully dressed. Then its time to go. He gets on the bus and sits next to a guy named Richard Napoli. Richard was scarfing down food and Ned asked why didnt he eat it at camp, Richard said youll see and if you have anything you better eat it know. When they got to camp they emptied their bags and if they had sweets they took them away. Richard and everyone else planned to go to town and get sweets.
To get more information read the book Jelly Belly in the North hilands school library.

The Titanic-
By: Bob Temple……………………
This book has a lot of adventerous things that some of us might not know about the TITANIC………….. There are some things about the TITANIC that were kind of interesting to me. There were 1,316 passengers on the ride from the Atlantic Ocean to New York City. Some of the world’s richest people had planned this travel for months. Some people paid 1,000 dollars just to take the TITANIC`s first voyage. There was one person that was a captain by the name, Captain Edward Smith, he was the one who led the ship`s crew of 890 people. When the ship started to sink everyone tried to get into the lifeboats, all the women and children had to go first. Then the men who were lucky could get on the lifeboats too. When the ship was almost under the women were sobbing silently. Some women even tried to call out to the men on the ship, but no one answered, until someone on the deck called out and said, “We`ll meet in New York!” There are facts in the book like only one lifeboat out of 16 came back to the spot were the Titanic sunk to look for survivors. The iceburg that the Titanic struck was 100 feet or over 100 feet. This book makes you feel like you are really on the Titanic.

***Added by Mrs. Wilson-The Titanic is a different sort of book because you can read a few pages and then choose one path or another. Every time you read the book it is different! We have another book like it called Underground Railroad.
